No. House Rent Allowance (HRA) exemption under Section 10(13A) is available only under the Old Tax Regime. Under the New Tax Regime, you receive a higher standard deduction (₹75,000) and lower slab rates in exchange for giving up itemized exemptions like HRA and 80C.

In a regular SIP, you invest a fixed amount every month for the entire duration. For listed equity shares and equity mutual funds: Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG - holding > 12 months) are taxed at 12.5% under Section 112A, with an increased tax-free exemption limit of ₹1,25,000 per financial year. Short-Term Capital Gains (STCG - holding ≤ 12 months) are taxed at a flat 20% under Section 111A.
